Johannes "Hannes" Kau (born April 10, 1957 ) is a former German soccer player .

He played as a goalkeeper for Alemannia Aachen from 1975 to 1991 . Johannes Kau played 22 games in the 2nd Bundesliga North and 197 games in the single-track 2nd Bundesliga. After the relegation of Alemannia from the second division, Hannes Kau played another year in the Oberliga Nordrhein in 1990/91 and then moved to Rhenania Würselen .

He has been working as a trainer since 1997 , u. a. from 1999 to 2002 as goalkeeping coach at Alemannia Aachen. Today Johannes Kau lives with his wife and two children in Stolberg near Aachen .

Highlights

The cup game in October 1986 against the German runner-up Werder Bremen ended 0-0 in Bremen . Alemannia Aachen finally won the replay in Aachen 7: 6 on penalties when goalkeeper Johannes Kau saved two penalties from Manfred Burgsmüller and Mirko Votava and also converted a penalty against Dieter Burdenski himself .
