Johannes Lange (born August 6, 1985 in Weißenfels ) is a former German basketball player .

The 2.08 m tall and 110 kg heavy center began his career at SSV unit Weißenfels. In 2002 he moved to SOBA Dragons Rhöndorf . There he went through almost all youth teams and became an important factor in the team of the 1st team in the ProA and ProB . For the 2010/2011 season, Lange moved from the Dragons to the GiroLive Ballers Osnabrück , who also played in the ProA. March 2011 the Ballers had to stop playing early and file for bankruptcy. Johannes Lange's contract was also canceled. For the 2011/2012 season, Lange received an offer from BG Karlsruhe and signed a contract. After a coach change, Lange was no longer included in the BG Karlsruhe squad and dissolved his contract in November 2011. In December 2011, Lange signed a contract with Mitteldeutscher BC until the end of the 2011/2012 season, where he assumed the role of the third center. After the successful 2011/2012 season, the Central German BC rose again to the first basketball league. Lange's contract was then extended for a further two years. On June 3, 2013, the MBC announced that Lange wanted to end his professional career in order to focus on his engineering profession in the future. The main reason for his decision was the short playing time he received in the 2012/2013 season. In September 2013, however, Lange decided not to end his career completely and joined the Grevenbroich Elephants from the 1st Regionalliga West for the 2013/2014 season and played there until 2016.
