Johannes Stehle

Johannes Stehle (born July 20, 1981 ) is a former German ski racer from Obermaiselstein in the Allgäu . He started for his home club SC Obermaiselstein.

Career

After Florian Eckert , Max Rauffer and Andreas Ertls retired from competitive sports , Stehle was one of the few downhill specialists in the German team. At the German (Junior) Championships he was able to achieve some good results. In the 2005/06 season he focused on European Cup and FIS races, but also had some appearances in the World Cup . Caused a stir his sixth place in training for the World Cup downhill in Garmisch-Partenkirchen in January 2006. At the end of the 2005/06 season he was at the German Championship in Innerkrems behind Stephan Keppler runner-up in the downhill and took in the Military World Championships in Andermatt silver with Team. He achieved his best result in the World Cup on December 15, 2007 on the downhill run in Val Gardena when he was 17th. He was placed among the 30 best four more times. In summer 2008 he ended his career for health reasons.

Private

On July 2nd, 2005, Stehle married the German cross-country skier Evi Sachsenbacher . His younger brother Dominik Stehle is also a skier.
