Johannes Tack

Johannes Tack (born March 27, 1874 in Rostock , † January 21, 1934 in Bremen ) was a German civil servant and state councilor in Bremen.

biography

The son of a gas inspector born, he studied after visiting the Rostock school laws and cameralistics ; 1893-1894 and 1895-1898 at the University of Rostock , from 1894 to 1895 at the University of Munich and from 1898 to 1901 at the University of Leipzig , where he in 1901 to Dr. phil. received his doctorate. During his studies in 1893 he became a member of the Redaria Rostock fraternity .

In 1901 he became Senate Secretary in Bremen and in 1914 received the title of Syndicus of the Senate . He took part in the First World War and was awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd class . In 1919 he was appointed syndic and in 1921 a councilor of state. In 1932 he was given leave of absence for health reasons and retired in 1933 for political reasons, as he had been a member of the German People's Party (DVP) for many years and was viewed by the National Socialist Senate as a bourgeois opponent of the NSDAP .

In 1933 he was a member of NORAG's program advisory board .

From 1907 he lived in Landhaus Tack , Schwachhauser Heerstraße 337.

  • The creation of the Hollandsgang in Hanover and Oldenburg, a contribution to the history of the workers' migration. Inaugural dissertation at the University of Leipzig 1901.
