John of Saldern
Johannes von Saldern (born August 9, 1839 in Potsdam , † June 11, 1907 in Arolsen ) was a German administrative lawyer and manor owner.
Life
Johannes von Saldern, landlord on Ober- and Nieder-Schwerta , was a son of Theodor Gustav von Saldern (1810–1876), on Meffersdorf (since 1945 Unięcice ) in the Lauban district , and the Thusnelda Countess von Seherr-Thoss (1812–1875 ). He attended the Friedrichswerder Gymnasium in Berlin, where he received his school-leaving certificate in autumn 1859. Then he began to study law and camera science at the Ruprecht-Karls-University . In 1860 he became active in the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . As an inactive he moved to the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität zu Berlin . In autumn 1862 he became an auscultator at the Supreme Court . In the summer of 1863 he moved to the district court in Liegnitz and in the autumn of 1864 he became a trainee lawyer with the government in Liegnitz . During the German War he was an officer in the Cuirassier Regiment "Duke Friedrich Eugen von Württemberg" (West Prussian) No. 5 . In 1868 he became district administrator of the Lauban district in the province of Silesia . From 1886 until his death he was the successor of his late younger brother Ernst von Saldern (1843–1886) Country Director of Waldeck-Pyrmont . For Prince Georg Viktor von Waldeck-Pyrmont , he signed the extension contract in 1887 for the administration of the principalities of Waldeck and Pyrmont by the Kingdom of Prussia . He was the authorized representative for Waldeck-Pyrmont to the Federal Council .
Elisabeth von Saldern was a daughter from her marriage to Margarete Countess von Hohenthal (1846–1934).
