Ernst von Saldern (born December 3, 1843 in Perleberg , † June 14, 1886 in Arolsen ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Ernst von Saldern studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1864 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . After completing his studies, he became an administrative officer and entered the administrative service of the realm of Alsace-Lorraine . In 1872 he became district director of the Bolchen district . In 1878 he moved to Strasbourg as mayor and police director . In 1883 he came to the district of Mulhouse as district director . At the end of 1884 he was appointed Prussian State Director of the Principality of Waldeck in Arolsen , where he was in office until his death in 1886. He was followed by his brother Johannes von Saldern .
