Luke Thilthorpe (born November 4, 1981 in Adelaide , South Australia ) is a former Australian ice hockey player who played for various teams in his hometown of Adelaide.
Career
Luke Thilthorpe began his career as an ice hockey player in his hometown with Adelaide Avalanche , for which he first played in the Australian Ice Hockey League from 1999 and with which he won the Goodall Cup , the Australian championship, in 2000 and 2001 . In 2007 he also won the VIP Cup with Avalanche as the main round winner of the AIHL. After Adelaide Avalanche stopped playing for financial reasons, he joined the newly formed Adelaide Adrenaline team, which took Avalanche's place in the AIHL and with which he again won the Goodall Cup in 2009. After the 2011 season, he ended his career.
International
For Australia , Thilthorpe first took part in the D-World Championship 2000 . After switching to the current division system, he was in the Australian squad at the World Championships in Division II in 2002 , 2004 , 2005 , 2006 and 2011 , when he was promoted to Division I with the Australians.
