John Healy
John Healy (born November 4, 1911 in New York City , New York , † April 3, 1986 in Los Angeles , California ) was an American film producer .
Healy's career began in 1951 in the film business as a co-producer on the short film The Guest . For his participation in the documentary film The Word , he and John Adams received an Oscar nomination in the category “ Best Documentary Short Film ” at the 1954 Academy Awards . The award was presented to Walt Disney for his contribution to The Alaskan Eskimo . For his second documentary film Healy received two more nominations at the Academy Awards in 1957 , but could not prevail against the competition. His last involvement in the film business was in 1960 in the film drama Twelve Hours The Death of Edward L. Cahn .
