John Hine (bishop, 1938)

John Franklin Meldon Hine (born July 26, 1938 in Tunbridge Wells , United Kingdom ) is a British clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Southwark .

Life

John Hine received on 28 October 1962, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On 26 January 2001 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Beverlacum and ordered him Auxiliary Bishop of Southwark. The Archbishop of Southwark, Michael George Bowen , gave him on 27 February of the same year, the episcopal ordination ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Plymouth , Hugh Christopher Budd , and the Bishop of Portsmouth , Crispian Hollis .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on May 7, 2016.
