John Hsane Hgyi
John Hsane Hgyi (born December 15, 1953 in Pyingadoe Mayanchaung ) is Bishop of Pathein in Myanmar .
Life
John Hsane Hgyi was ordained a priest on March 7, 1982 . Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Pathein and titular bishop of Puppi on January 25, 2003 .
He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Thailand , Singapore and Cambodia and the Apostolic Delegate in Myanmar , Laos , Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia , Adriano Bernardini , on March 22 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Paul Zingtung Grawng , Bishop of Myitkyina , and Charles Maung Bo SDB , Bishop of Pathein.
On May 24, 2003 he was appointed Bishop of Pathein and on August 24 of the same year he was introduced to the office.
