Paul Zingtung Grawng

Paul Zingtung Grawng (born March 20, 1938 in Lunghkat ) is a Myanmar clergyman and retired Archbishop of Mandalay .

Life

Paul Zingtung Grawng was ordained a priest on March 27, 1965 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on January 24, 1976 auxiliary bishop in Myitkyina and titular bishop of Rusguniae . The Bishop of Myitkyina, John James Howe SSCME , ordained him episcopally on April 3 of the same year ; Co - consecrators were Gabriel Thohey Mahn-Gaby , Bishop of Rangoon , and Aloysius Moses U Ba Khim , Archbishop of Mandalay.

On December 9, 1976 he was appointed Bishop of Myitkyina. John Paul II appointed him Archbishop of Mandalay on May 24, 2003.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on April 3, 2014.
