John Lutz (born April 23, 1973 in Pipestone , Pipestone County , Minnesota ) is an American actor.

Life

Lutz is the son of a free church preacher and grew up in various suburbs of Chicago and Detroit . After finishing school, he studied a. a. Psychology and business administration at Valparaiso University ( Valparaiso (Indiana) ). He was also involved in the university theater of his university; first as an actor, then later as a producer.

After completing his studies, Lutz went to Chicago, where he joined the ensemble The Second City . From there, NBC brought him to New York in February 2004 and hired him for the comedy show Saturday Night Live .

In New York he met Sue Galloway - from the sitcom 30 Rock - and married her a short time later.
