John Michael Fearns

John Michael Fearns (born June 25, 1897 in New York City , USA - † July 4, 1977 ) was auxiliary bishop in New York .

Life

John Michael Fearns received on 19 February 1922, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 4, 1957, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as titular bishop of Geras and auxiliary bishop in New York. The Archbishop of New York, Francis Cardinal Spellman , donated him episcopal ordination on December 10 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Washington , Patrick Aloysius O'Boyle , and the Auxiliary Bishop of Albany , Edward Joseph Maginn .

On August 12, 1972, Pope Paul VI. the resignation submitted by John Michael Fearns for reasons of age.
