John Michael Kelly
John Michael Kelly (* 8. March 1967 in Talavera de la Reina as Juan Miguel Suokko ) is an Irish-American singer , musician and composer . He was best known as a member of the pop and folk band The Kelly Family .

John Kelly was born as the fifth child of the American teacher Daniel Jerome Kelly and the first child of the American dancer Barbara Ann Suokko in Talavera de la Reina. He has four half and seven full siblings. From early childhood on, John Kelly traveled with his family as a street musician through Europe and the USA and played several concerts a day as he got older. He played drums and guitar in the band. In addition, he was responsible for setting up and dismantling the stage, sound check, lighting and the family's video clips.
In 2001 Kelly married the Spanish soprano and producer Maite Itoiz, daughter of the flamenco guitarist Carlos Itoiz Aguirre (1932-2020), with whom he subsequently initiated several musical projects. The couple founded the symphonic rock band Elfenthal in 2006 and released their debut album Tales from the Secret Forest . It was followed by The Blue Elf's Dream and An Ancient Story . Since 2017 he has appeared again with his siblings as The Kelly Family.
In 2019 he was runner-up in Dancing on Ice . In 2020 he took part in the 13th season of Let's Dance , his dance partner was Regina Luca . He left the show early for family reasons.
