John Charles Millen (born October 18, 1960 in Toronto ) is a former Canadian sailor .
successes
John Millen, who sailed for the Royal Canadian Yacht Club , took part twice in the Olympic Games with Frank McLaughlin in the Flying Dutchman boat class . When he made his Olympic debut in Seoul in 1988 , Millen and McLaughlin finished in third place behind the Danes Christian Grønborg and Jørgen Bojsen-Møller and Erik Bjørkum and Ole Petter Pollen from Norway. With 48.4 total points, they won the bronze medal. Four years later they finished ninth in Barcelona with 82.7 points. At the world championships they won the bronze medal together in Rio de Janeiro in 1986 .
In 1983 and 1986 he took part in the America's Cup with the boats Canada I and Canada II . After the 1992 Olympics, Millen ended his career.
