John Oslawski
John Oslawski (born July 23, 1947 in the USA, † July 15, 2000 in Almazora ) was an American jazz musician ( alto and baritone saxophone , flute and bass clarinet ).
Oslawski first appeared under the name of John Laws as a baritone saxophonist in the big band of Buddy Rich , with whom he was employed from 1968 to the mid-1970s; then he played with Woody Herman . In 1977 he came to Germany and became a member of the dance and entertainment orchestra of the Hessischer Rundfunk , from which the hr big band emerged . He also played in the Frankfurt jazz scene with his own group, in which Götz Ommert participated, among others . The musician, who lives in Wiesbaden , died on vacation in Spain.
