George Miller (* 18th September 1992 in Osaka , Japan ), known as Joji or under his former stage name Filthy Frank , Pink Guy , DizastaMusic , Politikz , Francis of the Filth , Papa Franku other and many, is an Australian - Japanese -born US -american musician, comedian and former YouTuber . He gained particular fame through the Internet meme Harlem Shake .

Career

George Miller was born in Osaka to an Australian-Japanese couple . He attended the Canadian Academy in Kobe , which he graduated in 2012. Miller lives in New York and opened the channel DizastaMusic on the web video platform YouTube in 2011 , followed by a new channel TVFilthyFrank in 2014 . There he regularly published the Filthy Frank Show , a quirky comedy series in which he plays various roles. One of them is that of the Pink Guy , who moves around in public, jumping around in a pink elastane body suit and rolling on the floor. In 2013 he released a short clip called Do the Harlem Shake . In it he can be seen as the Pink Guy and three other disguised people with face masks, how they perform twitching and fidgeting movements for the EDM track Harlem Shake by Baauer . The video became known on the Internet and found countless imitators who performed bizarre dances to the song in all kinds of outfits. It was one of the first great internet viral phenomena. This also benefited Miller, with the number of subscribers to his channel over four million. His original Harlem Shake video has been viewed over 60 million times (as of late 2018).

In addition to comedy videos, Miller also published short pieces of music and rap performances. In addition to his trap- style rap songs, he also plays the ukulele . In 2014 he released a complete album entitled Pink Guy for free download and partly as an internet video on his channel. He released his second, official album titled Pink Season at the beginning of 2017 under the name Pink Guy . The comedy music album with 35 tracks between 30 seconds and four and a half minutes entered the official US album charts and reached number 70.

In December 2017, he confirmed that he would cease producing web videos and concentrate on his music career. He also made the decision because of stress-related health problems.

Since then Miller has been producing serious music under the name Joji. In 2017 he released his first album, In Tongues, under this pseudonym, followed by Ballads 1 in 2018 .
