Jolanta Róża Kozłowska (born April 21, 1957 in Zawichost ) is a Polish diplomat .

Life

In 1980 Kozłowska was arrested twice as a fighter for the democratic opposition movement before the great workers' strike in Poland . She studied music education at the Maria Curie Skłodowska University in Lublin and graduated with a master's degree. She also majored in ethnology with minor subjects in musicology and history at the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg . She graduated in 1992 with a master's thesis on the work of the Polish ethnographer Wacław Sieroszewski .

In 1994 she was sent to Munich by the Polish Foreign Ministry as Vice Consul , from 1998 to 2002 as Consul General . From 2009 to 2013 she was the consul general in Cologne . After returning to Poland in 2014, she was employed as an advisor for external relations in the Office of the Marshal of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship . Kozłowska has been the Polish ambassador to Austria since September 30, 2017 .
