The Jolwa ( Russian Ёлва ) is a 255 km long right tributary of the Wym in the Komi Republic in northwestern Russia .
It rises on the southern edge of the Timan ridge . The Jolwa flows north first, then curves east and finally turns south. On the lower reaches it passes the settlement Meschura and flows another 40 km south into the Wym. The Jolwa drains an area of 3440 km². The largest runoffs occur during the snowmelt in May and June. The mean discharge at the Meschura gauge is 31 m³ / s.
