Jonas Dassler (born March 22, 1996 in Remscheid-Lennep ) is a German theater and film actor .

Life

Jonas Dassler was born in Remscheid in 1996 . At the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt-Gymnasium in Remscheid, he took part in the theater group from the eighth grade. After graduating from high school in 2014, he switched to drama studies at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin .

In the same year he got his first film role in Henri Steinmetz ' We're doing well . This was followed by the first leading role in Julia Langhof's LOMO - The Language of Many Others (2017) as well as roles in Lars Kraumes Das schweigende Klassenzimmer (2018) and Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck's work without an author (2018). For LOMO and The Silent Classroom , he was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize as the best young actor .

Dassler played at the Schaubühne on Lehniner Platz in 2016 . He has been a permanent member of the Maxim Gorki Theater ensemble since the 2017/18 season . There he took on roles in four productions. In the 2019 film The Golden Glove by Fatih Akin , he played the lead role as serial killer Fritz Honka .

Of the European Film Promotion Jonas Dassler was on the list of ten in January 2020 European Shooting Stars added.
