Jonas Drentwett

Jonas Drentwett (born June 7, 1656 in Augsburg , † January 26, 1736 in Ödenburg , Kingdom of Hungary or Vienna ) was a German fresco artist from the Augsburg artist dynasty of the Drentwett .

Jonas Drentwett was married to Helena († 1702). He was particularly active in and around Vienna. So he created for Eugene of Savoy different Grotesque frescoes in the Belvedere Palace , the Winter Palace of Prince Eugene and in the garden pavilion of Obersiebenbrunn . He worked for the Prince of Liechtenstein in Guntramsdorf . He also painted a fresco for the hall of the town hall in Bratislava .
