Jonas Weingart (born January 17, 1986 in Jegenstorf ) is a Swiss beach volleyball player .

Career

Weingart made it into the top ten of the junior world championships between 2003 and 2006 with the Sutter brothers and Sébastien Chevallier . From 2006 to 2008 he also played various international tournaments with Andreas Martin Sutter . In 2009 he formed a duo with Alexei Prawdzic . The next year he took part in the European Championships in Berlin with his new partner Roman Sutter and was eliminated from the group after the preliminary round. From 2011 Weingart will play with the multiple European champion and Olympian Martin Laciga . At the World Cup in Rome , however, the new duo failed in the preliminary round. In August Laciga / Weingart failed at the EM in Kristiansand in the round of 16 against the Austrians Müllner / Horst . Since 2013 he has been playing with his new partner Philip Gabathuler . At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki Gabathuler / Weingart retired after the preliminary round despite a victory over Sweden's Gunnarsson / Brinkborg . Weingart ended his international career in September 2013.
