Daniel Müllner (born February 2, 1990 in Vienna ) is an Austrian volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Müllner initially played in the hall. In 2000 he came to the Aon hotVolleys Vienna as a setter . At the European Youth Championships in his own country in 2007, he was tenth with the national team. He also won various national titles in different age groups. In January 2011 he formed a beach volleyball duo with Alexander Horst because his previous partner Florian Gosch had to end his career due to health problems with his knee. At the World Championships in Rome , Horst / Müllner came third in the first main round, in which they were defeated by the Americans Fuerbringer / Lucena after three sets . In August they started at the European Championships in Kristiansand , where they lost in the quarter-finals to the Swiss Heuscher / Bellaguarda .

In 2012 Jörg Wutzl became Müllner's new partner. At the European Championships in Scheveningen , the Austrians reached the first main round as third in the group, but then had to admit defeat to the later finalists Boersma / Spjikers from the Netherlands.
