Sébastien Chevallier (born July 14, 1987 in Versoix ) is a Swiss beach volleyball player .

Career

Chevallier was ninth at the Junior World Championships in 2006 in Mysłowice and 2007 in Modena . From 2007 to 2009 he was active with Roman Sutter in satellite and challenger tournaments. In 2010 he also played some open tournaments and the Grand Slam in Gstaad with his brother Andreas Martin Sutter . Since 2011 he has formed a duo with Sascha Heyer . The two Swiss came third at the Prague Open and ninth at the Grand Slam in Beijing . At the World Cup in Rome they reached the first main round in second place in the group, in which they were defeated by the Danes Søderberg / Hoyer . At the end of the season, Sébastien Chevallier was named Top Rookie of the FIVB World Tour 2011 . In 2012, Heyer / Chevallier secured third place in Rome to take part in the Olympic Games in London . The tournament ended for the duo in the round of 16. In the same year, Sébastien Chevallier became Swiss champion for the first time.

In 2013 Chevallier formed a new duo with Mats Kovatsch . Chevallier / Kovatsch played at the Fuzhou Open and finished ninth in the Grand Slam in Shanghai . At the World Championships in Stare Jabłonki they were eliminated without a win after the preliminary round and at the European Championships in Klagenfurt they ended up in 17th place. In 2014, Chevallier played with Alexei Strasser and in 2015 with Marco Krattiger . After his second Swiss championship title in 2015 alongside Krattiger, Chevallier ended his beach career.
