Bo Søderberg (born May 6, 1977 in Hørsholm ) is a Danish-Australian volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career

Søderberg began his career as an indoor volleyball player in 1994 in a school team in Allerød . He later played in Rødovre . After winning the Danish championship with Gentofte , he decided in 1999 to switch to beach volleyball.

In Ostend , Søderberg completed his first open tournament with Andreas Olesen , which was followed by other international appearances until 2003. In 2003 and 2004 he became Danish champion. Since 2006 he has formed a duo with Anders Lund Hoyer . At the European Championships in Hamburg in 2008, the Danes were defeated by the Germans Matysik / Uhmann in the second main round and finally had to admit defeat to the Swiss Heuscher / Heyer on the losing side . Then they came in two open tournaments in the top ten. At the 2009 World Cup , they came second in the first main round and lost there against the Estonians Kais / Vesik . From 2008 to 2010 Søderberg also won the Danish championship three times in a row. The next World Cup tournament in Rome in 2011 only ended for Søderberg / Hoyer in the quarter-finals against Latvians Pļaviņš / Šmēdiņš .

Søderberg has been operating for Australia since 2013 . With Cole Durant he finished second at the Asian Cup in 2016.
