Jonathan Friedrich von Finck

Jonathan Friedrich von Finck (* 1687 at Gut Pitzerwitz , Soldin district ; † August 27, 1757 in Peitz ) was a royal Prussian major general and commandant of the Peitz fortress .

His father was the Kurbrandenburg captain David Friedrich von Finck heir to Pitzerwitz.

In 1704 he came to the regiment "Anhalt-Dessau on foot" . There he became second lieutenant on November 6, 1712, and in 1718 he was staff captain. In 1729 he became a major in the "Dossow on foot" regiment . In 1742 he was awarded the Pour le Mérite . On May 25, 1743 he was promoted to colonel. On July 14, 1748 he was appointed major general and commander of Peitz. After his death, Busso Ernst von Blanckensee becomes the fortress in command.

family

He was married to Christiane Elisabeth von Brenkenhoff († 1745) since 1722 . The marriage resulted in 12 children. One daughter was married to Colonel Valentin Friedrich von Rüchel (1723–1784), he was the uncle of General Ernst von Rüchel .
