In 1987 the band renamed themselves The Quireboys to play at the Reading Festival . The band's breakthrough followed in 1990 with the debut album A Bit Of What You Fancy . However, she was never able to build on this success (number 2 in the British charts). In 1993 the breakup followed, before the band finally reformed in 2001. Today Spike and Guy Griffin lead the band, the remaining members are changing.
