Jonathan Andrew Kestenbaum, Baron Kestenbaum (* 5. August 1959 in Tokyo ) is a British business leaders and politicians of the Labor Party , which since 2011 as a peer Life Member of the House of Lords is.

Life

After attending school and then studying at the London School of Economics and Political Science , Kestenbaum completed postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge and a further degree in business administration at the Cass Business School , from which he completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) .

Kestenbaum, who graduated from Harvard Business School , became head of administration in the office of the new Great Rabbi of Great Britain and the Commonwealth of Nations , Jonathan Sacks , in 1991 and held that position until 1996. He was also head of administration of the United Jewish Israel Appeal (UJIA) and chief of staff to entrepreneur Ronald Cohen , one of the Labor Party's main financial supporters. He also served as CEO of private equity - company Apax Partners and to 2005 as Chief Executive Officer of the 2003 by Ronald Cohen founded The Portland Trust .

Kestenbaum, who was a trustee of the Rowley Lane Recreational Trust, was then Chief Executive Officer of NESTA, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts , from 2005 to 2010 . He has also been a member of the supervisory board of the private digital marketing agency Profero since 2008 and a board member of the Technology Strategy Board. Since 2010 he has been the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of RIT Capital Partners PLC and CEO of Five Arrows Ltd.

Through a letters patent dated January 24, 2011, Kestenbaum was raised to the nobility as a life peer with the title Baron Kestenbaum , of Foxcote in the County of Somerset . Shortly thereafter took place 26 January 2011 on its introduction ( Introduction ) as a member of the House of Lords . In the House of Lords he belongs to the Labor Party faction .
