Jonathan Leslie (born December 13, 1950 in Kasulu , Tanzania ) is a retired English squash player .

Career

Jonathan Leslie was particularly active as a squash player in the 1970s.

With the British national team he took part in the World Cup in 1976 , 1977 and 1979 . In 1976 and 1979 he became world champion with the team. In 1976 he prevailed with Great Britain in the final group, while there was a final against Pakistan in 1979 . Leslie won his final game against Atlas Khan in five straight sets. At European Championships he was with the national team from 1975 to 1978 four times in a row European champion.

In 1976 he was once in the main field of the individual world championships. There he was eliminated in the first round. He won the British championship in 1974 and 1976.
