The Jonavos sporto arena is a multifunctional hall in the Lithuanian town of Jonava , 35 km from Kaunas . The sports arena is located on Žeimių g street . 17 (LT-551) and is 6800 m². It will be the home stadium of the Jonavos Triobet ( NKL ) basketball team . The main hall is used for basketball , handball etc. a. be fit.
history
On June 22, 2006, Jonava City Council approved the concept of the project "Construction of the entertainment, sports and wellness complex and renovation of the Jonava Stadium ". The aims of the project were to improve the conditions for the athletes and athletes, to enable the base and the gym for the disabled; Adaptation of a sports base and access for athletes, active recreation and business development services. Director of the administration of Jonava municipality was responsible for the development. The municipality of Jonava was responsible for the renovation and construction of a multi-purpose sports hall. A private investor was sought (of the entire complex or its individual parts). The Lithuanian company group Achemos grupė was considered as a possible candidate.
The new health and sports complex will facilitate training for club teams from the Jonava Rajon community and students at the sports center (sports school) to strive for a high level of craftsmanship. The aim is to enable international, national and regional sporting events and competitions to be held. The renovated stadium will meet the requirements of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) and allow national, regional and other sports and athletics competitions to be held.
The construction was planned in three phases. Initially, the plan was to build the arena with 6 floors, and modernize and equip the Jonava stadium and the football fields. The first work started in 2010. A hotel (with investments from private companies) will also be built next to the entertainment center. The Joninių slėnis valley was renewed by 2016 (with funds from the EU structural funds). The total value of the project should be around 136 million litas (40 million euros) at the beginning .
The construction work was carried out by the Lithuanian company UAB “LitCon” (from August 2010 UAB “Pireka”) and the partner companies “Fima”, “Struktūra” and “Kaminta”. In 2013 and 2014 each received 1 million euros to finance the work. In June 2015, the sports arena was visited by Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius . In July 2016, the chemical company AB Achema donated 600,000 euros. The opening was first planned for October 2016. It was postponed to 2017.
Depending on the requirements, the Jonava Sportarena has a demonstration room for doping control, a room with a sauna and jacuzzi, spacious equipped rooms for athletes and concert participants, a cloakroom, a café, a conference room with around 40 seats, and a VIP room.
