Rösler & Jauernig was a manufacturer of bicycles , motorcycles and automobiles as well as an automobile dealer from Austria-Hungary .

Company history

The company was founded in Ústí nad Labem in the second half of the 19th century . Later the company suffix was bicycle and motor vehicle factory and from around 1906 bicycle, motorcycle and motor vehicle factory . The company sold cars from Adler , Clément-Bayard , Darracq , De Dietrich , De Dion-Bouton , Gardner-Serpollet , Georges Richard , Gobron-Brillié , Mercedes , NAG , Panhard & Levassor , Peugeot , Renault and Rochet-Schneider .

In the 20th century the production of bicycles began, in 1902 that of motorcycles and in 1904 or 1906 that of automobiles. The brand name was Rösler & Jauernig . The export also took place to Germany . At the time the company belonged to Emil and Rudolf Fehres and employed 70 to 90 people. Production ended in 1908.

In 1926 six vehicles of this brand were still registered in Czechoslovakia .

Automobiles

The vehicles were small cars. One model had an engine with 3.5 hp . The vehicle weighed 240 kg. The new price was 3000 crowns . The larger model had a 6 hp engine, weighed 300 kg and cost 4500 kroner.
