The Premier Bike & Maschinenbau AG , also Omega bicycle and Motoren GmbH and Premier-Werke AG - Továrna jízdních kol a motocyklů Premier called, was a manufacturer of bicycles , motorcycles and automobiles from Austria-Hungary , later Czechoslovakia .
Company history
The company was founded in Cheb in 1911 as a joint plant of the Justus Christian Braun Premier-Werke and the Premier Cycle Company . Geoffrey Rotherham ran the company. In 1913 the production of automobiles began. The brand names were Omega and Premier . Automobile production ended in 1914. Other motorcycles were built between 1923 and 1933 under new management.
Automobiles
The two models offered were the 5/12 PS and the 6/18 PS . They corresponded to the models of the Premier factories. The vehicles had a four-cylinder engine and a three-speed transmission. The bodies offered space for two people.
Other sources only mention the 4/12 PS model , an open two-seater with a steel frame, a water-cooled four - cylinder engine with 60 mm bore , 92 mm stroke , 1040 cm³ displacement, 300 cm length, 485 kg curb weight and 60 km / h top speed .
