August Braun, Erste Österreichische Motorfahrzeugfabrik, was a manufacturer of automobiles from Austria-Hungary .
Company history
The company of August Braun and Wilhelm Stift from Vienna began producing automobiles in 1899. Wilhelm Stift left the company in late 1900 to found the Celeritas automobile factory . Production ended in 1910.
vehicles
The first model had a single cylinder -Frontmotor of De Dion-Bouton , front-wheel drive and resembled the Parisienne . In 1900 models followed with different concepts, with a front engine, with the engine under the seat and with a rear engine.
A vehicle of this brand was on view in 2000 in the Automobile and Motorcycle Museum Austria in Gramatneusiedl .
