Josef Niesner, Mechanische Werkstätte was a manufacturer of motorcycles and automobiles from Austria-Hungary .
Company history
The engineer Josef Niesner founded a mechanical engineering company in Vienna in 1900 . The company's headquarters were at Schmalzhofgasse 10 in Vienna's 6th district. In the same year he manufactured automobiles. The brand name was Niesner . In 1905 it became the Josef Niesner company, mechanical workshop . From 1905 onwards, motorcycles were produced. Production ended in 1911. After the First World War , Niesner worked as a representative for Norton motorcycles and as a motorcycle racer.

Built-in engines from Minerva Motors and the Fafnir works provided power for the motorcycles . These were one- and two-cylinder engines with 3, 3.5 and 5 hp .
