Jordan Chan
Chan Siu-Chun (born July 8, 1967 , also known as Jordan Chan ) is a Chinese actor and singer. He became known to a Western audience alongside Ekin Cheng through the Young and Dangerous films.
Career
Chan's career began in 1985 with the Chinese television broadcaster Television Broadcasts Limited in Hong Kong when he enrolled in the TVB Dancers course. Shortly after graduating, he joined some troops at the TVB studio, where he accompanied various singers and artists during their live performances. He worked with artists like Alan Tam , Leslie Cheung and Anita Mui before being invited by a producer to record his own record.
In 1994 he made his debut with the film Twenty Something . Chan has since received several Hong Kong Film Award nominations : two for his role in She's a Man (1994) and one each for Heaven Can't Wait (1995) and The Big Bullet (1996). With the gang drama Young and Dangerous from 1996, Chan established himself as a triad actor. The film was a huge hit and led to several sequels and spin-offs before the series closed in 2000. 2005 Chan starred alongside Jay Chou as Kyoichi Sudo in Initial D . In 2016 he played alongside Jet Li and Fan Bingbing in League of Gods . In recent years he has been best known for his roles in comedies.
Musically, Chan is known for giving cantopop a certain hip-hop touch.
Private
In 2010, Chan married actress Cherrie Ying in Las Vegas . Their son was born in 2013.
