reception

Stephen Thomas Erlewine from Allmusic writes in the review of the album that Knight, as the lead singer of the New Kids on the Block, had a harder time establishing himself as a solo artist than most of the New Kids because of his distinctive falsetto . On this album he succeeded in doing this. Erlewine particularly emphasizes the faster titles ("Even with the extra effort, the urban soul ballads sometimes blend together, but he shines on the uptempo numbers".) And awards four out of five stars.
