Jordy Buijs (born December 27, 1988 in Ridderkerk ) is a Dutch football player . The midfielder has played for Sydney FC since January 2017 .

Career

Buijs' sporting career began in 2007 at Feyenoord Rotterdam . There he was unable to assert himself and moved to BV De Graafschap at the beginning of 2008 - initially on loan . At the end of the 2007/08 season he became a regular. He always fought with his club to stay in class. After relegation in 2009 , he remained loyal to De Graafschap and managed to get back up immediately. In the summer of 2011 he joined league rivals NAC Breda . Was he still a substitute player there in the first half of the 2011/12 season, he established himself as an integral part of the team in the second half of the season. Even with NAC, preventing relegation was a priority. In the summer of 2014 he signed a club in the upper half of the table with SC Heerenveen . He was seriously injured in November 2014 and was out for the rest of the 2014/15 season . After his return in September 2015, he did not make the leap into the regular formation. At the beginning of 2016 Buijs moved to Roda Kerkrade before the Romanian first division team Pandurii Târgu Jiu signed him in the summer of 2016 . There he did not get a chance after seven starting XI appearances. In January 2017 he left the club and joined the Australian first division club Sydney FC . There he won the championship in 2017 . In 2018 he moved to Japan . Here he signed a contract with V-Varen Nagasaki . The club from Nagasaki played in the highest Japanese league, the J1 League . At the end of 2018, he had to start the path to the second class with the club. Tokushima Vortis , a club that also played in the second division, loaned him out for the 2019 season.
