Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne

Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne (born June 29, 1953 in Mexico City ) is a Mexican ambassador .

Life

Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne is married to Greta Shelley Castro-Valle, they have a daughter.

Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne joined the foreign service in 1973. From 1973 to 1976 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was an attaché at the Mexican embassy in Vienna and studied international relations at the University of Vienna . From 1976 to 1980 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne studied law at the National Autonomous University of Mexico . From 1978 to 1979 he received a scholarship and was a student assistant at the Chair of Law.

In the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores (SRE), Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was assessor in the department for international organizations from 1976 to 1977 . From 1979 to 1982 he headed the Office of the Secretary of State for Economic Affairs in the SRE. From 1983 to 1985 he was seconded to the Office of the Foreign Minister, which he headed from 1985 to 1988. From 1989 to 1990 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was envoy and chancellor of the Mexican embassy in London. From 1991 to 1993 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was envoy and chancellor of the Mexican embassy in Ottawa. From 1993 to 1994 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was envoy and chancellor of the Mexican embassy in London. He was promoted to ambassador in 1994. From 1994 to 1998 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne headed the North America department at the SRE. From 1998 to 2001 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was deputy ambassador to Washington. From 2001 to 2003 Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne was ambassador to Stockholm and was also accredited to the governments of Andris Bērziņš in Latvia and Algirdas Brazauskas in Lithuania . Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne has been chairman of the Grupo de Embajadores de América Latina y El Caribe in Germany since 2004 .

Felipe Calderón , who was beaten into office at the end of November 2006 , made an appearance on January 25, 2007 in the run-up to the G8 summit in Heiligendamm 2007 . At the suggestion of Angela Merkel , Calderón coordinated the G5 summit on June 7, 2007 in Berlin. Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne partially managed to distract Wolfsburgers from the criticism of the human rights situation in Mexico with a program of jubilation .

On April 15, 2009, Jorge Castro-Valle Kuehne replaced Francisco del Río López as head of protocol at the Mexican Foreign Ministry.
