Jorge Enrique Serpa Pérez

Jorge Enrique Serpa Pérez (born March 16, 1942 in Santa Clara ) is a Cuban clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic bishop of Pinar del Río .

Life

Jorge Enrique Serpa Pérez was ordained a priest on July 14, 1968 .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on December 13, 2006 Bishop of Pinar del Río . He received his episcopal ordination on January 13th of the next year by the Archbishop of San Cristóbal de la Habana , Cardinal Jaime Lucas Ortega y Alamino ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Pedro Rubiano Sáenz , Archbishop of Bogotá , and José Siro González Bacallao , Former Bishop of Pinar del Río.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on June 5, 2019.
