Jorge Esteban González
Jorge Esteban González (born June 20, 1966 in La Plata , Argentina ) is an Argentine Roman Catholic clergyman and appointed auxiliary bishop in La Plata .
Life
Jorge Esteban González received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of La Plata on December 7, 1992 .
In addition to various tasks in pastoral care, he obtained a degree in spiritual theology after further studies at the Pontifical Gregorian University . Then he was professor at the theological institute in La Plata and at the diocesan seminary . He headed the communication commission of the archdiocese, was a member of the council for the formation of permanent diaconate and dean . Jorge Esteban González is a member of the Schoenstatt Institute of Diocesan Priests and was spiritual adviser to the female youth of the Schoenstatt Movement in Argentina from 2007 to 2018 . At the time of his appointment as auxiliary bishop he was vicar general of the archbishopric and cathedral pastor at the cathedral of La Plata . He was also a member of the Council of Priests and head of the clergy training team.
Pope Francis appointed him Titular Bishop of Halaesa and Auxiliary Bishop in La Plata on June 5, 2020 .
