Jori Hulkkonen

Juri Hulkkonen (born September 28, 1973 in Kemi , Finland ) is a Finnish DJ and music producer . He gained fame in German-speaking countries with a remix of the song Sunglasses at Night , which he created together with Tiga under the name Zyntherius .

Life

Hulkkonen began producing electronic music in 1988 . The first publications followed in 1993. In the same year he founded his first music label with LUMI Records , but was later signed to Cari Lekebusch's label Trainspotter's Nightmare . In 1995 he switched to F Communications , Laurent Garnier's music label . In 1996, Hulkkonen's first studio album Selkäsaari Tracks was released .

In 2001 he and Tiga released a remix of Corey Hart's song Sunglasses at Night under the name Zyntherius , with which he achieved his first chart success in Germany and Great Britain. His albums Different , Dualizm and Errare Machinale Est , released afterwards, were able to place in the Finnish album charts .

Together with Jimi Tenor , he made the feature film Nuncio in 2014 .
