In January 2015 he was loaned to the first division club Arouca until the end of the season, where he played 15 games and scored one goal. Arouca narrowly escaped relegation in the Primeira Liga 2014/15 . Kayembe was loaned to Rio Ave FC for the 2015/16 season and is to replace left-back Tiago Pinto, who has migrated to Turkey .
