José Amable Durán Tineo (born August 13, 1971 in San José de las Matas , Santiago Province , Dominican Republic ) is a Dominican Roman Catholic clergyman and appointed auxiliary bishop in Santo Domingo .

Life

José Amable Durán Tineo studied at the diocesan seminary of the Archdiocese of Santiago de los Caballeros , for which he received the sacrament of ordination on January 6, 2000 .

After further studies, he obtained a degree in philosophy from the Pontifical Catholic University of Santo Domingo , a degree in fundamental theology from the Pontifical University of Salamanca and a degree in youth pastoral care from the Pastoral Theological Institute for Latin America (ITEPAL) in Bogotá . In addition to pastoral care, he worked as a marriage bond defender at the church court and as vice chancellor of the diocesan curia. At the National Seminar Santo Tomas de Aquino in Santo Domingo he was Dean of the Faculty of Theology and since 2011 rain of the seminar.

Pope Francis appointed him titular bishop of Tacia Montana and auxiliary bishop in Santo Domingo on June 20, 2020 .
