José Antonio Guerra Oliva (born August 9, 1979 in Santiago de Cuba ) is a Cuban water diver . He starts in the 10 m tower and synchronized jumping.

So far he has participated in three Olympic Games . In the 10-meter platform diving, he was in 2000 in Sydney 14, 2004 in Athens 25 and 2008 in Beijing fifth. In 2008 he was also seventh in the 10m synchronized competition with Erick Fornaris .

Guerra has won two medals at swimming world championships so far . From the 10-meter tower he won silver in Montreal in 2005 and bronze in the 2009 10-meter synchronized jumping competition in Rome alongside Jeinkler Aguirre .

Guerra won his first international medal at the 1999 Pan American Games in Winnipeg when he won silver in diving. In 2007 he won his only gold medal from the 10-meter tower in Rio de Janeiro and also silver in the dubbing competition. With Jeinkler Aguirre he was able to repeat his silver medal at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara in 2011 .

In September 2006 he was banned for doping . He was acquitted in February 2007 because of procedural errors and the same persons were involved in opening the A and B samples.
