José Enrique Peña (born May 25, 1963 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player . He is the father of the two twin brothers Agustín and Álvaro Peña .
Career
societies
The 1.83 meter tall midfielder Peña was part of Huracán Buceo's team at the beginning of his career from 1981 to mid-1983 . In the second half of 1983 he was then active for the Richmond Kickers . From 1984 to the end of 1990, the Montevideo Wanderers were his employer. He then played for Nacional Montevideo from 1991 to mid-1992 . In July 1992 he moved to Deportes Temuco . With the Chileans he played 13 league games and scored one goal. In July 1993 he returned to Nacional Montevideo. His second engagement with the "Bolsos" ended in 1995. In the first half of 1997 he was in the ranks of a Uruguayan association that was not specified in the sources. Subsequently, a career station at Huracán Buceo will be run for him again until the end of 1998.
National team
Peña took part with the Uruguayan youth national team in the 1981 World Youth Championship . During the tournament he was used in four games (no goal). He made his debut on March 29, 1987 in the 0-1 away defeat in the international friendly against the Brazilian national team in the Uruguayan senior team . In the two international friendly matches against Ecuador and Bolivia on June 19, 1987 and June 23, 1987, he was also on.
