José Fernando Cubas
José Fernando Cubas (born April 9, 1981 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan chess player .
He won the Paraguayan individual championship in 2001. He played for Paraguay at eight Chess Olympiads : 2000 to 2006 and 2010 to 2016 . He also took part in the Pan American Team Championship (1995) in Cascavel .
In 2002 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM). The title of Grand Master (GM) was awarded to him in 2011.
