Josef Erni

Josef Erni (born March 26, 1811 in Triesen , † December 11, 1882 in Vaduz ) was a Liechtenstein Roman Catholic clergyman and member of the state parliament.

biography

Erni was born as the son of Johann Nepomuk Erni and his wife Maria Barbara Kindle. From 1856 Erni was a curate in Ruggell by profession . In 1862 he was elected to the Liechtenstein state parliament for the first time , to which he was a permanent member until 1878. In 1873 he became pastor of Vaduz. In the state elections in May 1882, Prince Johann II made him a member of parliament. However, he died the following December, and Johann Baptist Büchel the Elder was appointed for him . He also became the new pastor of Vaduz.
