David Paschoud

François-Louis-David Paschoud (born March 5, 1845 in Corsy-sur-Lutry , † October 21, 1924 in Lausanne , entitled to live in Forel and Lutry ) was a Swiss politician ( FDP ).

biography

David Paschoud was born on March 5, 1845 in Corsy-sur-Lutry as the son of Georges Louis Paschoud and Jeanne nee Barraud. After attending the Cantonal Industrial School in Lausanne, he completed a law degree at the Lausanne Academy .

As a result, after obtaining his notary's license, he ran his own notary's office in Lutry between 1870 and 1885. After all, after retiring from politics, Paschoud was employed as director of Crédit Foncier Vaudois from 1889 to 1924.

His first marriage was to Louise Julie, daughter of Gabriel Benjamin Auguste Deprez, and his second marriage to Ida, daughter of Auguste Lugrin. David Paschoud died on October 21, 1924 at the age of 80 in Lausanne. His sons Albert and Maurice also made a name for themselves as free-spirited politicians.

Paschoud was initially at the local level from 1870 to 1880 as village clerk worked before to 1885 he the office of the 1880 mayor held Lutry. Paschoud was also a member of the Constitutional Council in 1884 .

After the new cantonal constitution of 1885, David Paschoud led the reform of the state accounting, reorganized the canton's finances and implemented the law on progression tax.
