Maurice Paschoud (born July 21, 1882 in Lutry , † October 18, 1955 in Lausanne , reformed , resident in Lutry and Forel (Lavaux) ) was a Swiss politician (FDP) and university professor .

Maurice Paschoud was born on July 21, 1882 in Lutry as the son of the notary and liberal politician David Paschoud and the Ida-born Lugrin. After obtaining a diploma from the Lausanne Engineering School in 1904, Paschoud studied mathematics at the Sorbonne between 1905 and 1908 , where he received his licentiate in 1906 and completed his doctorate in 1914 .

As a result, Maurice Paschoud was first taught at the scientific high school , then on scientific Progymnasium active in Lausanne before it in 1920 as a professor at the Engineering School and at the Faculty of Science of the University of Lausanne also where he 1928-1930 as Rector officiated , worked. Political career

As a member of the Liberal Party, Paschoud was a member of the legislature in the Lausanne municipal council from 1926 to 1930 . At the same time, he took a seat on the National Council from 1928 to 1930 . Most recently, between 1930 and 1931, as a State Councilor, he headed the Education and Church Directorate Department.
