Josef Fahringer
Josef Fahringer (born December 21, 1876 in Baden (Lower Austria) , † December 18, 1950 in Vienna ) was an Austrian zoologist .
Josef Fahringer studied natural sciences at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate in 1904 as Dr. phil. He then worked as a middle school professor and director. In 1936 he retired as a councilor. He achieved great things as a parasite enforscher and entomologist . He is considered the best connoisseur of the braconids ( braconid wasps ), about which he wrote a standard work.
